A balance of wins and fails
The breakfast was delicious, with a wide choice from kippers to black pudding, among others. The hosts were attentive, our dietary needs were catered for with personal touches.
The room conditions were uncomfortable due to cold temperatures, and I found the mattress too hard, which affected my sleep.

Beautifully maintained exterior and interior.
Our room lacked central heating, leaving it too cold. The electric heater wasn't effective without keeping the bathroom door wide open. Chairs were worn out, which detracted from the comfort of the otherwise good bed.

Atherstone vibes and lekker food 🍽️🌳
Fine gardens plus lekker brekkie with fresh kippers! Richard and Siobhan are such friendly hosts, was like family! The meals are great, and I loved how they cater to dietary needs. Such a unique little spot to recharge after a long day.
Could do with a slight refresh on some furnishings.

CH had a cozy atmosphere with beautiful gardens. The well-appointed room featured a powerful shower and clean, comfortable spaces. Breakfast options included kippers and delicious traditional dishes, prepared with attention to dietary needs. The lack of central heating made the bathroom uncomfortable without leaving the door open. Some furniture appeared worn, detracting from the overall comfort. Friendly owners tried their best to ensure we enjoyed our stay, but at times the atmosphere felt a bit lacking, especially during quiet evenings.
